I received a garage door opener to park my vehicle in the condominium parking garage. I also used the fobs that allowed me through the hotel gates. I spent time in the long lazy river and lounged by the two pools, while my balcony overlooked the Gulf.
I walked down the private walkway directly to the sand while staying at the Islander East. My unit included a full-size refrigerator and a balcony for watching ships pass on the water. I grilled dinner on the two propane grills near the heated pool after spending the morning on the beach with the folding chairs kept in my closet.
I watched the sunset from the westerly facing balcony, which caught the sun from late morning until dark. We spent our afternoon floating in the lazy river and watching films in the theatre room. My evening finished with a few rounds of play in the games room.
A gentleman provided security for anyone entering the building parking lot during my stay. I cooked my meals using the kitchen amenities. I watched the ocean and the pool from the view in my unit.
I plugged my car into the on-site EV charging station while I stayed at this three-bedroom house. Outside, I used the hose to spray off sand after walking from the beach. Inside, I worked at the dual monitors in the workstation and relaxed in the lounge with the television.
I parked my car in the parking spot beside the house, which allowed us quick access to the Pleasure Pier. We prepared our meals in the full kitchen while the children occupied their own bedrooms.
I ate the King Cake that was there for us on the table along with other baked goodies. The host met me at the house for check-in to walk me through the home.
I prepared meals for my family using the three pizza pans and four pizza cutters found in the kitchen. We walked just a few steps from the house to the beach.

Watching the sunset from the deck
I sat on the back deck to watch the sun go down over the water. We had eight people in the house, which allowed enough space for all six adults and two kids to sleep.
I did my laundry in the washer and dryer inside the second floor apartment before I departed for my cruise. I cooked meals in the kitchen and stood under the rain shower after I walked to the Strand each day.
I swam in the heated backyard pool during my two-day stay, even when the air felt cool. I prepared dinner in the gourmet kitchen while my family slept in the large bedrooms. Since the owners provided a washer and dryer, I kept our clothes fresh before the trip home.
